I just took this picture with the same setup quickly just to show the type of watches i would be taking pictures of. Any suggestions as to how i can make the diamonds shine with better lighting. what type of light should i use so diamonds could shine, here in the picture the diamonds have almost no shine whatsoever. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.Strobist: 2 consistent lights angeled upwards ( light reflecting off the wall ). One acrylic board on the left side of the camera, used to decrease mixed reflection. No Flash Used-The Background and the reflection are orignal and "not" photoshoped. Preventions: 0 | | Gems will sparkle more the closer your lightsource gets to a point-source. That's whythey look so amazing in sunlight. I wouldsuggest trying some test shots with a bareflash to see how that works. I'd also tryeither using several flashes or using smallmirrors to reflect the flash at the subjectfrom several points. That would give you theappearance of a soft light source, but frompoint sources. | --------------------------------------------------
